Rosie Dore is a freelance illustrator based in Co. Mayo, Ireland. She has a particular fascination for animals and the natural world, and loves drawing animal characters and imagined personalities and behaviour, using research and real-life observations as a constant guide. Her work also occasionally branches into human and fantasy subjects however, and is created using a mixture of watercolours, glass pen and ink and other traditional materials, alongside digital media.
Overall she aims to produce work that is emotive, quirky and characterful, and to instill appreciation and wonder for the many creature subjects that feature in them.
